Faber-Castell Watercolour Pencil Set, Long — Full length.
Watercolour pencils draw like an ordinary coloured pencil, then dissolve like paint the moment a wet brush touches them.
That gives you two tools in one: draw the detail dry where you want control, then wash over the open areas that should read as paint. Work on paper heavy enough to take water — around 200 gsm and up — or the sheet will cockle as it dries.
- Draw dry for detail, then blend with a wet brush
- Two techniques in one pencil — dry drawing and soft washes
- Use paper of about 200 gsm or heavier so it does not cockle
